Tuf Voyaging by George R.R Martin. I should say that I'm not a big sci-fi guy. The last one that I read and enjoyed was the Price of Milk by Exurb1a, as well as The Fifth Science which wasn't as good IMO. Also the Familiar by Mark Z. Danielewski, if you count those books as Sci-fi. As for this one, the first part of the book had me engaged but
