Deltaforces2025 • 4 mo. ago. Overall, Far Cry 5 is superior when compared to Far Cry 6, but here's things that I think Far Cry 6 did better than 5. -Map locations, I prefer the map of 5 over the one we got in 6, but the map locations in 6 were much more interesting.
Far Cry 5 is more about the main story, with fewer side things to do, than Fallout 4. In Fallout 4 you can go off the rails for literally hours or days without touching the main quest. Far Cry 5, on the other hand, is much more limited. It also is a much smaller game with fewer things to do, and the main quest is forced upon you by Resistance
I enjoyed the game. As I mentioned before in my review of Far Cry 5, when I purchase a Far Cry game, I expect a Far Cry experience. This game delivered exactly what I paid for. In my opinion, it was event better than Far Cry 5. The improved story and the absence of the same "sleeping" formula in each zone for story progression was nice.
I'd rate 5 the better one, but 4 isn't far behind, so you should have a great time no matter which you go for. You could always go with 4 for now and if you enjoy it 5 is just there waiting for you with more gimmicks and a gorgeous world.
